


The BellyRing Egyptian Oriental Dance Studio, formerly based in Stellenbosch opened it’s doors in 2007 and has recently merged with Layali Belly Dance Studio in Somerset West.
The combined studio will be known as the BellyRing Egyptian Oriental Dance Studio and continues classes in Somerset West under the experienced hand of Egyptian Oriental Dance instructor and professional performer , Jamilah, who also founded the original BellyRing studio.
The Original BellyRing troupe performed a fantastic “Raqs Al Assaya” (Cane Dance) at the International Oriental Dance Festival in 2009.
The BellyRing Egyptian Oriental Dance Studio is proud to teach a diversity of ladies from the Helderberg and surrounding areas from all walks of life irrespective of shape, size or age. Everyone is catered for with classes ranging from Beginners through to Advance up to Professional Performance level.
All students will have an opportunity to perform for family and friends at events like studio shows and Haffla’s.
A Haffla is a fun gathering for woman with refreshments and belly dance performances.
The current BellyRing Troupe is presently working on a production which they will showcase in 2012. In the meantime they’re looking forward to performing at all the upcoming shows and events that will take place in 2011.
